Everton's Muhamed Besic progressing well in comeback - Ronald Koeman

Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is making good progress in his recovery from knee surgery, manager Ronald Koeman has said.

The Bosnia international tore an anterior cruciate ligament playing against Manchester United in Wayne Rooney's testimonial in August and was expected to be sidelined for six months.

"He's progressing well," Koeman told the Liverpool Echo.

"He's on his way to being back. It's a long-term injury and you need to be patient.

"But the medical staff are really happy with Mo because he has shown a really good professional attitude. That makes it easier to come back."
