Liverpool's Ovie Ejaria strikes as England U20s win Four Nations

Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria scored his first goal for an England youth side as the Under-20 team beat the United States 2-0 on Monday night.

Ejaria broke the deadlock in the Four Nations tournament clash at Rochdale six minutes from time with a powerful strike from outside the penalty area.

Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke netted a penalty in stoppage time as England record a third victory to win the tournament, which also included Germany and the Netherlands.

Midfielder Ejaira, 18, was included at international level for the first time after he made his senior debut for Liverpool's first team in the EFL Cup tie at Derby County last month.

And England U20 interim boss Paul Williams was pleased with the patience his side had displayed.

"We stuck to the game plan," he told the official FA website. "But credit to the U.S. as they've seen the two games we've played and essentially blocked it off for us.

"So we had to use the wide areas in the second half. We spoke to the players and in the second half we had more territory and were more composed in the final third."
