Adelaide United attacking midfielder Stefan Mauk has signed for Dutch football club NEC Nijmegen.
The 20-year-old played 13 A-League matches for the Reds since joining Guillermo Amor's championship-winning side in January, claiming the club's Rising Star award in the process.
That form has earned the former Melbourne City man a move to the Eredivisie, where NEC finished 10th last season.
"My aim was always to try and get over to Europe, ever since I was a little kid," Mauk said in a statement.
"To be able to make the move now on the back of winning the A-League Championship in Adelaide really is a dream come true.
"Hopefully, when I return to Australia, I'll be able to put the Adelaide United shirt on again."
Reds' head coach Amor said Mauk thoroughly deserved the opportunity to play in the Netherlands.
"His hard work and determination to improve his football has bought him this opportunity and we understand this move," he said.
