Czech Republic coach Pavel Vrba has left his role to take charge of Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala.
Vrba has stepped down from the post following Czech Republic's early exit at Euro 2016, where they finished bottom of Group D after losing to Spain and Turkey, while drawing with Croatia.
The Football Association of the Czech Republic (FACR) confirmed the news on Thursday, announcing that Vrba will join Anzhi with immediate effect.
FACR chairman Miroslav Pelta says a new Czech Republic coach will be presented in a week.
"We thank Pavel Vrba for his work for Czech football," Pelta said in a statement. "He managed the team to advance to the European Championship in France, and while our mission has ended in the group stage, I consider the coach's work to be successful."
Vrba took over Czech Republic after the 2014 World Cup. Under the 52-year-old, the team won its Euro 2016 qualifying group ahead of Iceland, Turkey and Netherlands to maintain a record of reaching every European Championship since Czechoslovakia split in 1993.
Vrba will be hoping to take Anzhi up the Russian Premier League table after the club finished 13th last season.
