France and Marseille keeper Steve Mandanda keen to play abroad

France goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has said that he would like to play in England or Spain but that there is still a chance he will end up staying at Marseille for a 10th year.

Directly after losing the Coupe de France final against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, Mandanda said there was a "big chance" that it would be his last match for the club.

Everton and Villarreal have been mentioned as possible options for the man who has been voted Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year on four occasions and Mandanda insists he could move away from France.

"Abroad would be something good at 31," he told RMC on Thursday. "It would be a nice adventure on both a sporting and a personal level... the two leagues that interest me the most are the Premier League and La Liga."

However Mandanda, who is currently preparing for Euro 2016 as No. 2 to Hugo Lloris in the France squad, believes that the summer transfer market is unpredictable.

"You don't know what the future will be made of because we all know in the transfer window it's quite complicated," Mandanda said. "And I play in a particular position.

"I could easily find myself still playing at OM next season -- I don't know. It's clear that Marseille is my family. It's where I grew up, where I learned, where I discovered everything."
