Josuha Guilavogui makes permanent Wolfsburg move after two-year loan

Midfielder Josuha Guilavogui has signed a three-year deal at Wolfsburg, the club he joined on loan from Atletico Madrid in 2014.

Guilavogui, 25, has missed only seven Bundesliga games since his move, and Wolfsburg have now exercised an option to buy in their two-year loan contract with Atletico.

"We are delighted to have signed Josuha on a permanent transfer," sporting executive Klaus Allofs was quoted as saying on the official Wolfsburg website.

"Over the past couple of years, he has proven that he is perfectly suited to Wolfsburg, sportingly as well as personally. It was always clear to us that we wanted to hang on to him for the long term."

"I am very happy to continue playing for VfL Wolfsburg and to be a part of this wonderful club," Guilavogui said.

"I felt right at home here from my very first day in Wolfsburg, so it has always been my desire to stay here longer.

"I want to play my part in making VfL an established side amongst the top teams in the Bundesliga permanently, and helping us regularly play in the Champions League."
