Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher is targeting a first-team spot at Old Trafford next season after impressing on loan at Barnsley.
Fletcher, 20, has scored seven goals in 23 games for the League One side, including a brace against Colchester on Saturday.
That form, combined with the success of fellow United under-21s product Marcus Rashford, has Fletcher believing he can make an impact for Louis van Gaal's side next term.
"It's been massive and I'd like to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to come and play games," Fletcher told Barnsley's official website. "I feel I'll be going back to Manchester United as a better player.
"I've developed little things like how to be cuter with defenders, and having the confidence element to score goals has really benefited me.
"Getting a run of games has also benefited me in terms of my fitness."
Barnsley can secure a place in the League One playoffs with a win at promoted Wigan on Sunday.
