Blackburn defender Shane Duffy scored two own goals and was sent off in Rovers' 2-1 defeat at Cardiff -- his latest in a run of matches to forget for club and country.
Against Cardiff, Duffy gifted the hosts two goals. After 14 minutes, Bluebirds wing-back Declan John burst through and hit a shot against the right post, with Duffy stroking the rebound into an empty net. Six minutes later and he met Peter Whittingham's right-wing free kick with a firm downward header past startled Rovers goalkeeper Jason Steele.
The final blow for Duffy? He was sent off at the death after booting the ball away to a rousing applause from Cardiff fans.
90 - Oh Shane Duffy... The defender shown a second yellow for kicking the ball away. Standing ovation from the #CardiffCity fans too! (2-1)

It's been a rough few months for the 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international.
Duffy was sent off for Ireland against France at the last-16 stage of Euro 2016 in June, and last Saturday netted an own goal in Blackburn's Championship derby defeat at Wigan.
In theory there's nowhere to go but up for Duffy. (Right?).
