Man City win John Stones race, Conte wants Jovetic, Spurs seek Lacazette

The summer window will be opening before you know it, and rumours around the world are picking up steam. As always, Transfer Talk has its finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest gossip. See the latest deals here.

TOP STORY: Man City to beat Man United and Chelsea to Stones?

Chelsea and Manchester United will be left disappointed this summer because John Stones will choose Manchester City as his destination, according to the Star.

Everton's England defender Stones is keen to work under Pep Guardiola despite Antonio Conte driving the Blues' bid to sign him. The Toffees may ultimately be forced to finally sell Stones -- and the combination of Guardiola and Champions League football looks to have swayed his decision to head to the Etihad.

Barcelona eye Schmeichel as Ter Stegen replacement

Kasper Schmeichel's heroics for Leicester this season could be rewarded with a move to Barcelona, according to the People.

The Danish goalkeeper has been in stunning form and the Blaugrana see him as a replacement for German stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who continues to be linked with a move away.

Schmeichel would have to battle it out with Chilean stopper Claudio Bravo for a place, though the pair would be likely to split minutes between La Liga and the cup competitions.

Conte looks to bring Jovetic to Chelsea

Chelsea will swoop for Stevan Jovetic this summer as Antonio Conte looks to finally land the Montenegrin, according to the Star.

Jovetic failed to make the grade at Manchester City, and Inter Milan have already paid a £2 million loan fee with an obligation to buy the 26-year-old for £12.5 million. The Blues could offer to take Jovetic off the Nerazzurri's hands and would put together a contract worth £90,000 a week.

Spurs to beat Premier League rivals for Lacazette

Tottenham look set to win the race for highly sought-after French striker Alexandre Lacazette and could pay £23.5 million for the Lyon hitman, according to the Mirror.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton have shown an interest in the 24-year-old, but it looks as though White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino has got his man.

Lacazette has bagged 17 Ligue 1 goals this term and is hoping to be part of France's Euro 2016 squad.

Tap-ins

- Spurs will be busy this summer and will also look to capture Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi, according to the Star.

Los Che's defensive stalwart has attracted interest from Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, but the Londoners have now thrown their hat into the ring for the 24-year-old German international.

- Tony Pulis is determined to bring Liverpool flop Christian Benteke to West Brom this summer, according to the Star.

The Reds striker, who cost £32.5 million from Aston Villa last year, has struggled at Anfield, but Pulis wants to revitalise the Belgium international at The Hawthorns next season.

- Leicester are looking to shop at Manchester United this summer and bring Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira to the King Power, according to the Star.

Claudio Ranieri's side already have former Red Devils Danny Drinkwater and Matty James (in addition to Danny Simpson) in their ranks, and will now attempt a second bid for the 20-year-old after previously failing in January.

- Arsenal will battle it out with Juventus for striking prodigy Dusan Vlahovic, who has been likened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to the Mirror.

The Gunners will hope to beat the Old Lady for the giant Partizan Belgrade youngster, and a bid of £2 million could be enough for them to snap up the 16-year-old.
