Torino's slim hopes of European qualification have been dealt a further blow after striker Fabio Quagliarella was ruled out for the rest of the season with a thigh injury.
The 32-year-old was withdrawn during the second half of the 5-1 defeat to Genoa on Monday and scans have revealed he will now miss the remainder of the campaign.
"Quagliarella, taken off prematurely on Monday night, was subjected to an ultrasound this morning,'' a club statement read.
"The examination showed a muscle-tendon injury at first instance in the long adductor muscle of the left leg.
"Currently the prognosis is about 20 days.''
Torino currently sit six points shy of a European spot with three games to play.
