Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah could be set for a loan switch to French side Bordeaux, sources have told ESPN FC.
Chalobah returned to Chelsea last week after an unproductive loan spell at Burnley in the first half of the season, and he is set to be farmed out again this month.
The England under-21 international man made just four appearances for the Clarets, failing to start a single Premier League game, and won't have benefited much from his time at Turf Moor.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of Chalobah and is keen to send the 20-year-old somewhere he will get regular first-team action.
Chalobah, who has yet to make his first-team debut for Chelsea, was sent on loan at Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough last season but had a mixed campaign, having enjoyed a successful spell at Watford and helping them to the second tier's playoff final the previous season.
A number of Premier League and Championship sides are thought to have enquired about Chalobah, but Bordeaux are hoping to take the midfielder to Ligue 1.
Bordeaux coach Willy Sagnol has been looking at the English transfer market as they battle to get back into European contention, and have already expressed an interest in signing Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo on loan. Chalobah is also thought to be on his wanted list.
