NYON, Switzerland -- Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk fined 50,000 euros for the hooligan behaviour of their fans during a Champions League qualifying match against FC Copenhagen.
UEFA says Dnipro will play a home Champions League or Europa League match in an empty stadium if crowd trouble is repeated within two years.
The deferred sanction cleared Dnipro to have fans watch them beat Hajduk Split 2-1 in the Europa League on Wednesday.
Dnipro played in Kiev because UEFA judged Dnipropetrovsk in eastern Ukraine to be unsafe to host matches.
Copenhagen fans were attacked by Dnipro fans during a match on July 30. The second half kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes.
The Danish club denied claims that their fans provoked trouble by displaying a Russian flag.
