Torino president Urbano Cairo has played down rumours that the club could be about to make a move for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella.
After a summer that has already seen them bring in Antonio Nocerino from Milan and seal a loan deal for Omar El Kaddouri, who joins from Napoli for a second spell, reports suggested that Quagliarella could also be on his way.
But Cairo told Rai Radio 1 in quotes translated by Football Italia: "He is a very good player -- but we have other options, too.
"Perhaps we are missing the icing on the cake, but we have three or four interesting alternatives.
"Our coach, Giampiero Ventura, knows how to develop our players."
