France v Germany
Germany tops France to set up NL final with Spain
Germany drew 2-2 with France in the second leg of the Women's Nations League semifinals on Tuesday to advance 3-2 on aggregate and set up a showdown with Spain in the final.
France took an early lead in the second leg through a Melvine Malard goal as they looked to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg. But a pair of stellar finishes from Nicole Anyomi and Klara Bühl either side of halftime put Germany back in the lead.
Clara Mateo's late consolation goal put France on the cusp of a draw to force penalties, but Germany saw out the match despite heavy pressure from the hosts down the stretch.
The result puts Germany into the final against Spain, who beat Sweden in the other semifinal earlier on Tuesday.
The final will be held over two legs with Germany hosting Spain on Nov. 28 before the return match at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid, four days later.
