The Washington Spirit secured a 4-2 victory over the Chicago Red Stars on Wednesday at SeatGeek Stadium. Trinity Rodman scored a first-half goal and an assist for the Spirit.

Ouleymata Sarr also scored in the first half and Brittany Ratcliffe came off the bench to score two goals late in the second half. Croix Bethune had three assists.

Chicago didn't score until minute 72 overall when Ally Schlegel converted to make it 2-1.

Leilanni Nesbeth scored the other Chicago goal.
