Boreham Wood held to goalless draw by Woking
Damon Lathrope suffered a serious injury as Woking frustrated Vanarama National League play-off hopefuls Boreham Wood by holding them to a goalless draw. The visitors were targeting a fifth straight win which would have boosted them above Tranmere and Aldershot and up to third in the table. The Wood dominated the first half, with Angelo Balanta and Bruno Andrade both shaving paint off posts before the former volleyed just over from outside the box. After the break, however, Grant Smith was forced to make an acrobatic save to stop Louie Theophanous heading home for Woking.Any momentum that was building in the second half dissipated when a collision involving Lathrope forced a lengthy break in play as the Woking midfielder received treatment. When Lathrope left the pitch on a stretcher and the stadium in an ambulance, play could resume, and Chez Isaac went closest to grabbing a late winner by thrashing over for the Wood.
