Maidenhead ease relegation fears with win over Woking
Maidenhead eased any remaining relegation fears with a last-gasp 2-1 win over Woking, who are now just one point above the drop zone. The Magpies had the first chance of the game as Harry Pritchard squared the ball to Sean Marks but his shot flew inches wide.Moses Emmanuel was not too far away with a lobbed attempt from 20 yards, while at the other end, Regan Charles-Cook sliced over the crossbar from a good position.Pritchard was denied before the break and the same player came close again early in the second half. But it was Woking who took the lead in the 76th minute when a mistake in the home defence allowed Jonathan Edwards to slam the ball home.Maidenhead were back on level terms with nine minutes remaining when substitute Adrian Clifton headed in a Ryan Upward free-kick and both teams pushed for a winner. It was the home side who snatched victory with two minutes left as Sam Barrett's pinpoint cross was tapped home by Marks.
