Ryan Cresswell redeems himself as Eastleigh earn late Wrexham point
Ryan Cresswell redeemed himself with a last-minute equaliser as Eastleigh snatched a 1-1 draw with Vanarama National League promotion hopefuls Wrexham.Cresswell conceded the penalty from which Wrexham opened the scoring, but popped up in stoppage time to bundle home from a corner.Wrexham goalkeeper Chris Dunn blocked two Chris Zebroski efforts after nine minutes as the hosts made a bright start.The visitors went ahead after 18 minutes when Cresswell brought down Scott Quigley in the box and the forward got up to smash the subsequent penalty down the middle.Only an excellent save by Dunn denied Paul McCallum an equaliser before half-time and Sam Matthews and Ryan Broom saw efforts blocked after the break.Eastleigh's Andrew Boyce was dismissed after 68 minutes for picking up a second yellow card, but Cresswell made a vital late block to keep the hosts in it before popping up with the equaliser.
