Liaoning on brink of relegation after defeat to Shandong Luneng
Shandong Luneng kept their hopes of a place in next year's AFC Champions League alive with a 3-1 win over Liaoning Whowin on Friday.
Diego Tardelli, Papiss Cisse and Jin Jingdao found the net for Felix Magath's side before Wang Hao claimed a late consolation for Liaoning.
The result all but ensures Liaoning, who are bottom of the standings, will drop down into the second division.
A draw or better for 14th-placed Tianjin Teda against Beijing Guoan on Sunday would confirm the club's relegation.
Shandong moved up to fourth, three points behind Hebei CFFC.
