Michael Dunlop earns long-awaited win for Albion
Michael Dunlop's winner 17 minutes from time earned Albion a 1-0 victory over Ayr and gave them their first three points since February 23.Having not won any of their previous eight contests, Dunlop's second-half volley finally brought some cheer to a club fifth in the table. The visitors almost went ahead prior to the interval through Ross Davidson, whose shot following a well-worked free-kick routine was just wide of the post.Dunlop's strike after the break proved to be the difference as he collected a header back to him from Scott McBride before finding the net with a volley. It meant a fourth defeat in five for Ayr, who sit third in the division ahead of the final three fixtures.
