World Championship Titles For Bestwick And Ramos Highlight Final Day

Live Performance From Cartel Finishes Off Three-Day Action Sports and Entertainment Extravaganza

DALLAS—British BMX Vert superstar Jamie Bestwick and Brazil's Rodolfo Ramos captured World Championship Titles on Sunday as the 2007 LG Action Sports Championships (LGASC) came to a close after three days of unabashed action sports excitement and live music from headliners Kanye West and Ludacris.

The three-days of competition culminated in an intense final that saw Bestwick once again pushing the limits of BMX Vert to overcome a strong field with a 92.50 to capture the Gold. His run featured a myriad of tricks, including a downside tailwhip flair that brought the Reunion Arena house down. The victory was Bestwick's fourth career LG Action Sports World Championship. With a textbook run that featured his signature "900," Simon Tabron captured Silver, while Californian Chad Kagy took Bronze, despite broken ribs suffered in his first and only run.

The Skateboard Street final saw Ramos dazzle fans, tearing up the Street course on his way to an 87.75 and the 2007 LGASC title. Strong showings from Carlos de Andrade (Silver) and Greg Lutzka (Bronze) weren't enough to best Ramos who captured his second-straight LG World Championship crown.

Prior to the two remaining professional competitions, an amateur Skateboard Vert competition pitted top amateurs from around the country against one another for '07 bragging rights. San Diego, California's Josh Stafford took
Gold with a 92.00, followed closely by Florida's Dylan Taylor (Silver) and Washington's Mitchie Brusco (Bronze).

A live performance by alternative rockers Cartel, best known from MTV's reality series, "Band in a Bubble," rounded out the three-day weekend of action and entertainment.

The Dallas-based World Championships event was the fourth and final U.S. event in the 2007 LG Action Sports World Tour, following events in Phoenix, San Diego, CA, and Pomona, CA. Results and information regarding these events can be found at lgactionsports.com. ASA Entertainment, producers of the LG Action Sports World Tour, will announce the 2008 schedule of LG Action Sports World Tour events in the months to come.
