The United States reached a fifth consecutive quarterfinal of the FIFA men's Under-20 World Cup after defeating Italy 3-0 in Rancagua, Chile, on Thursday.

Despite a 2-1 defeat to South Africa, the United States U20 secured first place in Group E on goal differential and advanced to the Round of 16, where they'll face Italy on Thursday.
