The British and Irish Lions are heading into the first Test against Australia with their chests puffed out.
An eight-try hammering of the invitational Australia-New Zealand (AUNZ) team in Adelaide was headlined by winger Duhan van der Merwe's hat trick.
The fact the AUNZ team fell flat despite fielding 14 Test players only added further gloss to the Lions' impressive victory.
Owen Farrell was introduced in the second half, replacing outside centre Huw Jones in his first appearance on tour since his call-up by father-coach, Andy.
The former England captain had a hand in scores by Scott Cummings and Henry Pollock. First, Farrell battered into the AUNZ line before off-loading before to Cummings who touched down after the hour mark. Then it was his grubber kick that was fumbled by Harry McLaughlin-Phillips behind the line which allowed Pollock to gather and score.
"There's sore bodies, there's no denying that but in terms of getting up and playing for this shirt, [it's] so easy," Lions No. 8 Ben Earl said.
"We had one training session, we knew we had to just rely on the basics and the work we've done together over the last three, four weeks.
"So for the most part, we've done that and we're really pleased with that. "I think you can see how we want to play going into next week," added Earl of the series-opener against the Wallabies. "I think it's a good start."
