Captain Rob Horne remains in hospital after suffering an arm injury during Northampton's win at Leicester on Saturday.
Horne was carried off on a stretcher following six minutes of treatment after being knocked out when he ran into Leicester number eight Sione Kalamafoni at the kick-off.
He was taken to hospital but the club said he was talking as he underwent assessment - and they provided another update on Sunday evening.
A statement read: "The 28-year-old Australian is receiving specialist treatment to his right arm and will continue to be assessed to determine the extent of his injury.
"He wishes to send his thanks to everyone at Leicester Royal Infirmary and for the messages of support he and his family have received."
Northampton won the Aviva Premiership contest 27-21.
