All Blacks great Dan Carter has been booed off the field in his first French rugby match since being caught drink-driving in Paris.
The 35-year-old Racing 92 playmaker produced a sub-par showing in his side's 38-15 loss to Top 14 leaders La Rochelle, kicking one penalty and missing a conversion.
He was then whistled and booed by his home crowd at the Stade Yves-du-Manoir, on the outskirts of Paris, as he was substituted in the 62nd minute.
Former Test teammate Victor Vito scored a try for La Rochelle in the match.
