Gareth Southgate visited England's training base in Surrey on Tuesday to view preparations for their looming Six Nations showdown with Wales.
Southgate addressed the Grand Slam champions' backroom staff and also attended both of the day's training sessions as part of an exchange of ideas with Eddie Jones.
The England football boss watched from the sidelines, along with Australian netball coach Lisa Alexander, as Jones oversaw the week's main run-out ahead of Saturday's trip to Cardiff.
"We've had a brilliant learning day today with Gareth and Lisa," said England head coach Eddie Jones.
"As we've always stated our aim is to get better everyday and we want to get people into camp who have knowledge and great experience to learn from them.
"The staff shared a very interactive hour with them at a lunchtime meeting where we learnt a lot, reinforced some principles and also discovered some new things that we need to do to keep moving forward."
