Jeff Teat scored two goals and recorded five assists as the New York Atlas held off the Utah Archers 15-11 on Saturday night at Peter Barton Stadium in Denver.
Xander Dickson and Dox Aitken each contributed a hat trick for New York (7-2), which scored a pair of goals late in the third quarter to break a 10-10 deadlock and added three insurance goals in the fourth to put away a pesky Archers squad. Tyler Carpenter also had a two-point goal and an assist for the Atlas, while goalie Liam Entenmann made several key saves down the stretch, finishing with 12.
Archers attackman Mac O'Keefe scored two goals within a 15-second span late in the third to tie it at 10 before New York pulled away. Tre Leclaire also scored twice for Utah (4-4).
Up next: The Atlas face the Philadelphia Waterdogs on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET, while the Archers take on the California Redwoods on Friday at 8 p.m. to kick off their homecoming weekend at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.
