John-Henry Krueger claims 2 golds at US Short Track Championships

SALT LAKE CITY -- John-Henry Krueger won the men's 1,000- and 3,000-meter finals Sunday in the US Short Track Championships.

The meet determines the teams for the ISU World Cup meets in Dresden, Germany, and Dordrecht, Netherlands, as well as the team for the world championship in Seoul, South Korea.

Kruger won the 1,000 in 1 minute, 24.574 seconds and the 3,000 in 4:57.454. Cole Krueger came in second in the 3,000 and third in the 3,000. Keith Carroll Jr. was second in the 1,000.

Jessica Smith Kooreman won the women's 1,000 in 1:32.493 and placed second in the 3,000. April Shin took the 3,000 in 5:13.157 and was third in the 1,000. Kimberly Goetz was second in the 1,000, and Alexis Burkholder was third in the 3,000.
