Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Kevin Love commit to Team USA; one spot left on roster

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton and Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love have committed to joining Team USA's 12-man roster for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Excel Basketball agent Mike Lindeman told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, with a source saying Bucks guard Jrue Holiday has given his commitment as well.

Middleton and Holiday will be making their first Olympic appearances, while Love will be in his second Olympics after winning gold at the 2012 London Games.

Their commitments would leave one spot remaining on the 12-man Olympic roster, as 11 players -- the others being Miami's Bam Adebayo, Brooklyn's James Harden and Kevin Durant, Golden State's Draymond Green, Washington's Bradley Beal, Boston's Jayson Tatum, Phoenix's Devin Booker and Portland's Damian Lillard -- have pledged to play, according to ESPN and multiple reports.

The LA Clippers' Paul George and, if healthy, Kawhi Leonard have given some indication to USA Basketball in recent weeks that they would like to play on the Olympic team, though it remains unknown whether they have made a final decision.

Phoenix's Chris Paul, Golden State's Stephen Curry and Utah's Donovan Mitchell are among those who have recently declined invitations.

Paul had been trending toward this decision for several days, sources told Wojnarowski. Curry cited offseason commitments, according to The Associated Press, while Mitchell will use the time to recover and rehab from his right ankle injury, sources told Wojnarowski.
