ATLANTA -- The Buffalo Bills were without two key offensive players, as well as one on the defensive end, for Monday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid and wide receiver Curtis Samuel were both ruled inactive about 90 minutes before kickoff, while defensive tackle DaQuan Jones suffered a calf injury during warmups and did not play.
Both Kincaid and Samuel had been questionable going into the game. Kincaid (oblique) wore a noncontact jersey and was limited throughout the practice week. Samuel (neck/ribs) was limited Thursday, did not participate Friday and then was limited again Saturday.
Both players participated, but not fully, in pregame warmups Monday.
Kincaid, a third-year tight end, is coming off his first career 100-yard receiving game in the loss to the New England Patriots last week (six receptions, 108 yards) and has six-plus targets in three games this season. Fullback Reggie Gilliam could get some snaps Monday at tight end.
Samuel was a healthy scratch for the first three games of the season and has three receptions this season. He was a member of the kick return team the past two weeks, but returner Brandon Codrington is again active against the Falcons.
Linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral), linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo and offensive lineman Chase Lundt are also inactive. The Bills elevated safety Jordan Poyer and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips from the practice squad for the game after safety Damar Hamlin and defensive tackle T.J. Sanders were placed on injured reserve this past week.
