BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns unveiled a new all-brown alternate helmet on Wednesday, which will be worn three times in the upcoming 2025 NFL season.

The helmet, called "Alpha Dawg," features an all-brown matte shell with a brown stripe between two orange stripes in the middle and an all-brown facemask.

"'Alpha Dawg' embodies what we set out to be as the Cleveland Browns, the leaders of the pack," said Browns executive vice president JW Johnson in a news release. "We're excited about this new alternate helmet and the ode it pays to the rich history of the color brown as part of our organization, switching it up from our iconic orange helmets."

Cleveland will wear the helmet with their all-brown uniforms on Sept. 21 against the Green Bay Packers, Oct. 19 against the Miami Dolphins and Dec. 7 against the Tennessee Titans. It's the first time in franchise history that the team will wear brown helmets.

The brown helmet is the third lid that the Browns have as part of the NFL's expanded uniform policy, joining Cleveland's standard orange helmet and its alternate white helmet.
