INGLEWOOD, Calif. - The Kansas City Chiefs were struggling on offense and in need of a big offensive play in the second quarter of their game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy delivered it. Worthy ran by coverage and caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to cut the Chiefs' deficit to 10-7.

The pass was thrown 54 yards downfield, the most air yards for a touchdown pass of Mahomes' career. It was also his longest touchdown pass since a 56-yarder to Jerick McKinnon in 2022.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Worthy reached a max speed of 21.46 MPH, the second-fastest speed by any ballcarrier on a TD so far this season. The Philadelphia Eagles' Saquon Barkley reached 21.66 MPH on 65-yd rushing TD against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.
