Percy Harvin unlikely to play in London as Bills' injuries mount

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin is not expected to play Sunday in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a lingering hip injury, a source told ESPN.

Harvin did not play in Sunday's 34-21 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the first game that he has missed this season. The Bills have held Harvin out of Wednesday practices since the start of the regular season after he missed the entire preseason because of hip soreness.

In addition to Harvin, Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams is not expected to play in London, a source said. Williams suffered a left knee injury in Sunday's game that required him to be carted to the locker room.

Harvin and Williams could be among other injured Bills not to play against the Jaguars. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins was on crutches in the locker room after injuring his ankle Sunday, while starting right tackle Seantrel Henderson (concussion) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ribs) also left the game.

Buffalo was already without quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) and running back Karlos Williams (concussion). The status of both players for Sunday's game against Jacksonville is uncertain.

Bills coach Rex Ryan was asked Sunday if the mounting injuries are affecting his team's morale.

"I think it's affecting everybody's morale, mine included," he said. "I mean, cause you know what -- you have a vision of what this team can be when we're healthy and it's just frustrating cause you don't have your parts.

"I know we can compete with anybody, but it just seems like we take a step forward and then we end up taking two steps back. It's been a frustrating year and these injuries, it's just amazing."

The Bills were expected to list Harvin as probable on their injury report on Friday, but he was unexpectedly limited in that practice and they changed his designation to questionable.

The Bills gave Harvin a platelet-rich plasma injection in his hip after he missed practice time in training camp. The seventh-year receiver missed most of the 2013 season while with the Seahawks because of hip surgery.
