News: 2 days agoRodgers completed 18 of 30 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns while rushing twice for one yard in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.

Spin: Rodgers relied on his running backs, throwing a touchdown pass apiece to Breece Hall (26 yards) and Braelon Allen (12 yards) while also watching Allen run in a game-winning 20-yard touchdown with less than five minutes remaining. The veteran quarterback's stats don't jump off the page, but Rodgers did enough to get the Jets in the win column heading into Thursday's home opener against the Patriots. Rodgers has yet to reach 200 passing yards in a game with the Jets.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: It will be Rodgers' second season with the Jets after an Achilles injury in Week 1 sidelined him for the 2023 campaign. The four-time MVP is entering his age-40 season, but Rodgers averaged 19.9 fantasy points per game in his final three seasons with the Packers. The Jets didn't have a reliable secondary pass-catcher opposite Garrett Wilson last season, so the offseason addition of Mike Williams helps in that area, as does drafting Malachi Corley in the third round. New York's offensive line was also a liability in pass protection, ranking 30th in pass block win rate. The Jets addressed this area by signing former All-Pro offensive tackle Tyron Smith (among others) during free agency. Rodgers has a history of elevating the play of those around him, and he can be drafted as a low-end QB1.
