News: 4 days agoMumpfield played 30 snaps on offense during Sunday's 34-10 victory against the Saints.

Spin: Despite another big day from Matthew Stafford (24-of-32 for 281 yards and four touchdowns), Tutu Atwell (hamstring) being out and Puka Nacua (chest) missing a chunk of the second half, Mumpfield failed to keep the momentum from his first NFL touchdown in Week 7 against the Jaguars in London. Mumpfield could find himself with a bigger role if Nacua's injury persists into a Week 10 divisional showdown with the 49ers, with Xavier Smith and Jordan Whittington also vying for additional playing time behind Davante Adams.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Mumpfield was selected by the Rams in the seventh round of April's draft. He's on the small side (186 pounds, short arms and small hands) and didn't show much top speed at the combine (4.59 40), but otherwise performed well, including a class-high 23 bench reps. He'll battle for a depth role behind target hogs Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
