News: 1 day agoIrving carried the ball 25 times for 66 yards and caught all four of his targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 29-27 win over the Jets.

Spin: The second-year back fell just short of reaching 100 scrimmage yards for the second straight game, but he saw a season high in touch volume as the Buccaneers took a 23-6 lead into the fourth quarter. Irving is still looking for his first rushing TD of the year, as Tampa Bay got most of its scoring from kicker Chase McLaughlin (five field goals and two PATs) plus a 55-yard INT return for a touchdown by Jamel Dean. Irving could be productive again in Week 4 against an Eagles defense that just surrendered 112 combined yards and a receiving TD to the Rams' Kyren Williams.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Irving is a strong 2025 breakout candidate following an impressive rookie season. The fourth-round pick didn't play on over half the snaps in a game until Week 6, but was fantasy's No. 10 RB from that point on. He produced 15-plus fantasy points in nine of his final 12 games, with injury responsible for two duds. Irving's efficiency was elite, as his 5.4 YPC, 2.5 YAC, 90% catch rate and 7.5 RAC were all top 5 among RBs. Irving will defer some work to Rachaad White, and his 192-frame raises obvious durability questions, but he looked the part as a rookie and is well positioned for 15-plus touches per game in a good offense. At worst, he's a fringe RB1.
