News: 5 days agoDouglas caught all three of his targets for 36 yards and carried once for minus-5 yards in Thursday's 27-14 win over the Jets.

Spin: With Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) inactive for the second straight contest, Douglas, who logged 19 snaps Thursday, was once again outsnapped by fellow WRs Mack Hollins (57), Stefon Diggs (46) and Kyle Williams (45), per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. In 11 games, Douglas has recorded a receiving line of 23 catches (on 35 targets) for 332 yards and three TDs, a rate of production (while working in an offense that spreads the ball around) that has yielded modest fantasy value thus far.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Douglas is entering his third NFL season having paced the Patriots' WR room in targets during each of his first two years with the team. The 2023 sixth-round pick earned a significant offensive role early in his rookie season and took a slight leap forward last season, hitting career-best marks in targets, catches, yardage and TDs. One of the league's smallest receivers at 5-foot-8, 179 pounds, Douglas primarily works as a short-area slot receiver, which has severely limited his yardage, TDs and, of course, fantasy output. The 24-year-old has yet to deliver a top-55 fantasy campaign (PPG) and is a candidate for a lesser role in 2025 with Stefon Diggs now in the mix on what is likely to be a run-first offense under Mike Vrabel. Douglas has slight late-round appeal in PPR.
