Pro Football Focus will be providing analysis for every major signing and trade during the 2015 free-agency period, accounting primarily for the quality of player and his fit with his new team and focusing less on the financial terms of the deal.
Here is a grade for the Jaguars' reported agreement with former Dolphins defensive lineman Jared Odrick, which cannot become official until Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Jacksonville Jaguars: B-minus
A bit of a hybrid player, Odrick has been productive since Miami switched to a 4-3 scheme, allowing him to rush from the interior. He's posted a respectable plus-19.1 pass-rushing grade the past two years, including a plus-7.3 mark last year that ranked 16th among defensive tackles.
If there's a weakness to Odrick's game, it's been against the run. The 2014 season was the first one in which he graded positively, and even then he settled in right around average at plus-1.0. He can play multiple spots in head coach Gus Bradley's system, either at defensive end to help mitigate some of the issues against the run (because he'll be going up against tight ends and tackles instead of spending the majority of his time facing bigger run-blocking guards, as he did with Miami), or inside at defensive tackle to spell current starter Sen'Derrick Marks. The Jaguars can then kick him inside to take advantage of his pass-rushing ability on passing downs, and that's where the real value of this signing will lie.
With Ndamukong Suh off the market, Odrick was one of the best remaining defensive tackles, and although he has some flaws, he should provide a pass-rush punch for the Jaguars.
