On-court sneakers can often boast a message. On Wednesday, Austin Reaves' kicks expressed a personal one.
The Los Angeles Lakers guard opted for pink sneakers against the host Indiana Pacers, serving as a gender reveal for Reaves' older brother Spencer and his wife.
Spencer, who plays professional basketball in Germany, wrote on X: "We didn't know Austin would be so pumped to do this. He's known for weeks. Maybe he got Luka [Dončić] on board as well with his shoes tonight."
Reaves recorded 17 first-half points along with four rebounds in the kicks.
The fourth-year guard is averaging career highs across the board with 19.7 points, 5.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds.
