The Sacramento Kings say second-year forward Marvin Bagley III will miss four to six weeks with a nondisplaced fracture of his right thumb.
According to the team, Bagley suffered the injury in Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Suns. He started and played 28 minutes, scoring 14 points. An MRI determined the extent of the injury.
Bagley, the former Duke star, averaged 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds last season. The second overall pick in the 2018 draft, he finished seventh in NBA Rookie of the Year voting.
