Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. left Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Royals in the top of the third as a precaution with left hip tightness, the team announced.
Acuna appeared to injure himself on a fly ball in the bottom of the second and was subbed out in the next half inning. He went 0-1 in his lone at-bat and said after the game he thought he could've stayed in the game.
Manager Brian Snitker said it's uncertain whether Acuna will play Wednesday.
Acuna is chasing a 40/40 season, sitting at 41 homers and 37 stolen bases on the season.
