Kentucky freshman De'Aaron Fox posts second triple-double in program history

Kentucky freshman point guard De'Aaron Fox posted the second triple-double in school history on Monday in a 115-69 rout of Arizona State.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Fox finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as No. 1 Kentucky (7-0) dominated the Sun Devils in the Atlantis Showcase in the Bahamas.

The only other triple-double in Kentucky history came when then-freshman Chris Mills finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over Austin Peay on Dec. 27, 1988. Mills transferred to Arizona after his freshman campaign.

"I didn't even know that's how long it's been, but it felt good," Fox said. "Honestly, it was my most efficient game, shooting-wise, so that's what I feel good about."

Fox finished 6-of-9 from the field. He had 10 points and nine rebounds by halftime and was named MVP of the Showcase.

Fox, 18, was a McDonald's All-American. He entered the game averaging 15.5 points, 7.2 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. Multiple NBA executives told ESPN that Fox will likely be a lottery pick after this season.
