No. 25: BAYLOR BEARS
Last season: 22-12, 10-8 Big 12
Scott Drew and the Bears have gone to the NCAA tournament four of the past five years and have been at least .500 in the Big 12 in each of the past six seasons. Miami transfer Manu Lecomte will run the show, and he'll have Johnathan Motley up front and veterans in Al Freeman and Ishmail Wainright. -- Jeff Goodman
Best case: NCAA second round. Baylor has always had long, athletic big men, and Jonathan Motley is the latest in that line. If he can be a consistent scoring presence, Baylor can be an NCAA tournament team again. Miami transfer Manu Lecomte should offer an alternative at the point and a better shooter at that position. Al Freeman should be able to take the next step in the development of an all-league contending player. Baylor has the pieces to be good.
Worst case: NCAA first round. Last season, Lester Medford as point guard was a move that had some positive results, but he was perhaps not as good as Lecomte can be. If that position is not better, it could be one-and-out for Baylor.
