The NCAA Division I Board voted Tuesday to delay the effective date of the legislative change that will allow athletes and athletic department staff members to bet on professional sports, moving it from Nov. 1 to Nov. 22.

Former Duke and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kyle Singler, 37, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor assault in Haskell County, Oklahoma, after his girlfriend told authorities there that he grabbed her head and shoved her to the ground.
