Haryana Steelers, with a new coach at the helm, will kickstart its Pro Kabaddi League season 9 (PKL 9) campaign against Bengal Warriors on October 8 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Steelers have signed former Gujrat Giants manager Manpreet Singh as the coach for this season. Manpreet won PKL as a player with Patna Pirates and then guided Gujarat Giants to two finals as coach and will look to steer Haryana Steelers to a maiden final at the very least.

Haryana Steelers let go of their top raider Vikash Kandola at the auctions and have brought in Manjeet and K. Prapanjan to shoulder the raiding responsibilities.
Manpreet is known for his defensive line-ups and he has a great squad to work with here: young Jaideep was among the top defenders last season, while Joginder Narwal brings in decades of experience.
