Bend it like Hurtado

Each weekday, ESPN RISE brings you five vital stats from athletes across the country.

Erik Hurtado is one of the best soccer players in the state of Oregon. The Westview (Tigard) senior was named the Class 6A Player of the Year after scoring 20 goals and leading his team to the state semifinals in 2007. He is a crafty forward with excellent ball-handling skills and scoring instinct. When he's not on the field, he can't live without five things.

1. Music
"My iPod is with me all the time. Music relaxes me. When I'm warming up for a game, I'll listen to my iPod. I love listening to music and the beats, and it keeps me focused."

2. Sports
"I'm an active person. I always have to be doing something. I love every single sport: football, basketball, baseball, running, anything."

3. Friends
"My friends are really important. I'm always with my friends, probably more than I'm at home. It's kind of boring being alone, which is why I'm with my friends a lot."

4. Family
"My family is my backbone. They keep me straight. They bring me down to earth, and they all support me and love me and I love them the same. Without them, it would suck."

5. Chipotle
"I eat it two times a week. It's my favorite food. I love it. I go on cravings for Chipotle."
