Tate makes his own starting lineup

Each weekday, ESPN RISE brings you five vital stats from athletes across the country.

Two-sport All-American Donavan Tate plans to play both football and baseball for North Carolina next season, but he's also a potential first-round pick in the 2009 MLB Draft. The 6-foot-3-inch, 205-pound senior from Cartersville (Ga.) breaks down five of his favorite baseball players and what he likes about their games.

1. Grady Sizemore
"He plays the game hard and doesn't take anything for granted."

2. Josh Hamilton
"I read his book and kind of his story of coming back and playing."

3. Alex Rodriguez
"I mean, he's A-Rod."

4. Manny Ramirez
"As much as people think he's lazy and stuff, I think he works hard. He's clutch. The way he approaches the plate, he thinks no one can get him out."

5. B.J. Upton
"I guess kind of the excitement he brings and just his overall ability to play."
