Each weekday, ESPN RISE brings you five vital stats from athletes across the country.
Rodney Williams, the nation's No. 29 senior recruit on the ESPNU 100, nearly led Robbinsdale Cooper High School (New Hope, Minn.) to a Class AAAA state championship last year -- the team finished fourth. During his high school career he has established himself as one of the premier players in the nation, averaging 23.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. As the season starts, Williams told us five things he couldn't live without.
1. Family
"Without my family, there wouldn't be much of a life to live."
2. Cell phone
"I need to be able to reach people."
3. iPod
"I love music. I always need my iPod before games."
4. Friends
"It's always good to have friends to have somebody extra to talk to."
5. Basketball
"I love playing. I've been doing it almost every day since second grade."
