Following Monday's Presidents Day tripleheader, TGL action continued Tuesday night, as Jupiter Links Golf Club and New York Golf Club faced off.
Tiger Woods, Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner were active for Jupiter Links, and Max Homa sat out. For New York, Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler and Matt Fitzpatrick played. Xander Schauffele was inactive.
New York beat Jupiter Links 10-3 to earn its first win of the season. The victory also kept NYGC in playoff contention. Jupiter (2-1) has split its past two matches.

With their backs against the wall, and in need of a jolt of energy, New Golf Club called on the New York Mets first baseman to walk them out to Tuesday's match. It seemed to have been the right call as the team came out and took its first lead of the season.

New York's second match of the season, against Atlanta Drive Golf Club on Jan. 21, didn't go so well, as it lost 4-0. But the team was in rhythm early from the start of the match against Jupiter Links, winning Hole 1.

After throwing the hammer to increase Hole 2's value to two points, Jupiter Links put itself in a tough spot, hitting into the bunker on its second and third shots. But Kisner forged a tie on the hole by nearly sinking the fourth shot.

Kim was feeling it after hitting a two-point putt to put Jupiter Links on the board and cut New York Golf Club's lead to six points entering the singles matches. Kim sank a 12-foot putt for birdie on Hole 9 to end triples.

Woods did his best to keep Jupiter Links in the match on Hole 10, sinking a putt for birdie to win the hole and earn a point for his team.

Woods made a crucial mistake on Hole 13, using the wrong club on his approach shot after mishearing how many yards were needed to get to the pin. Though Woods was 199 yards from the pin, he thought his team said he was 99 yards away, leading to the mishap.
