Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham have been recalled for Thomas Tuchel's latest England squad which also includes Bournemouth's Alex Scott for the first time.

Tuchel named a 25-man squad on Friday for World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania later this month.

ESPN reported on Thursday that Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham was set to return after being left out for last month's international fixtures while Foden features for the first time since March after an upturn in form for Manchester City.

"We are delighted they are back," Tuchel said of the duo. "The contribution of both of them to their clubs lately was immense.

"They play regularly of course and play a big role in success of Real Madrid and Manchester City. They've scored decisive goals regularly. We are delighted they are in shape, in form and back with us.

Tuchel told a news conference that Bellingham had "accepted" the call to omit him from the October camp but refused to reveal details of their private conversation about the decision. The German went on to praise the 22-year-old for the way he has responded on the pitch in recent weeks.

"Amazing reaction, like in performance-wise," Tuchel said. "There are a lot of things going on and we are always here to help and support, we are always here to be stable for him. There is no doubt about that.

"He is still young. If you look at his career it feels sometimes he is 26, 28 but he is still a very young player. He has our full support and we want to provide a stable environment for him that he can show the level of performance that helps us to be a better team."

On Foden, Tuchel weighed in on where he sees the City man having the most positive impact on the game.

"I think the main thing about him is that he gets a role in the central part of the pitch," he said.

"I don't see him as a winger at the moment and maybe not anymore. He should have a central role, I think that will bring out his strengths most."

Elsewhere, Tuchel handed a surprise call-up for Bournemouth midfielder Scott. The Cherries have been riding high in the Premier League season and Scott's inclusion acknowledges that while rewarding a midfielder capped 11 times at England under-21 level.

The squad only includes one recognised striker in captain Harry Kane with Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins left out, although Marcus Rashford, at Barcelona on loan from Manchester United, could play through the middle if required along with West Ham's Jarrod Bowen.

Tuchel opted against including Ben White despite positive conversations centring on the Arsenal's defender's willingness to return to the setup after declaring himself unavailable for England during the latter part of Gareth Southgate's tenure.

The England boss also warned last month that Myles Lewis-Skelly's place could be at risk if he struggled for regular game-time and the left-back was omitted in favour of City youngster Nico O'Reilly, who was added to the squad last month following injuries elsewhere.

Tuchel also decided against handing Danny Welbeck a call-up -- seven years after his last cap -- despite an impressive run of form for Brighton, scoring six goals in his last five Premier League matches.

Anthony Gordon was also included despite his recent injury issues at Newcastle.

Speaking in a news conference earlier on Friday, Eddie Howe said he was "relaxed about" Gordon still joining up with England but revealed the winger is set to undergo a scan on the hip issue that saw him replaced in the 41st minute of Newcastle's Champions League win over Athletic Club on Wednesday.

Tuchel said he will not take a risk with the winger's fitness.

"We are aware he has been subbed twice for minor issues. We are in close contact with the Newcastle medical staff on a very trustful and professional level," Tuchel said.

"We decided to call him up and my last information is that we have a chance he will come to the camp and we will take care of him.

"We will not take any unnecessary risk. Players' health is always first."

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton returns to the squad after missing out last month and withdrawing from the September internationals due to injury.

England have already secured their spot at next summer's World Cup finals, meaning Tuchel has the chance to experiment in England's final fixtures of 2025 before a four-month break until their next games in March.
